This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to rectify the defects pointed out by the Court in filing O.P.No.286 of 2024 on the file of Principal District Court, Tiruvarur and to take effective steps to number the petition filed under Section 20 of the Tamil Nadu State Highways Act, 2001.

2. Heard Mr.P.Dinesh Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents.

3. Learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that immediate steps will be taken to rectify the defects and to represent the petition and get it numbered before the Principal District Court, Tiruvarur.

4. Considering the said submission, it is made clear that the defects will be rectified within a period of one (1) week and effective steps will be taken to get the petition numbered and listed for hearing before the Court.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
