Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for

the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay the admitted sum of Rs.1,01,86,196/- together with interest @ 18% p.a in respect of the supply of firecrackers to the third respondent 'PAPSCO' during 'Diwali-2017' forthwith and within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 21.03.2019 and 17.12.2019.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction, directing the respondents to pay the admitted sum of Rs.1,01,86,196/- together with interest @ 18% p.a in respect of the supply of firecrackers to the third respondent 'PAPSCO' during 'Diwali-2017' forthwith.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader (Pondy) appearing for the respondents would submit that it is a contractual dispute liability and the writ petition itself is not maintainable.

3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ

petition, the respondents are directed to consider the request made by the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
