Respondents Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to pass a considered order on the application given by the petitioner on 17.9.2014 and consequential relief directing the 1st and 2nd respondent to issue a patta in favour of the petitioner namely Mrs.Kanniga pertaining to property situated at South Chennai Registration District Alandur Sub Registrtion Disitrict Kundrathur Panchayat Union Mugalivakkam Village Panchayat comprised in Nanja Survey No.53/6 measuring an extent of 0.04 cents.

By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner submitted an application dated 17.09.2014 by paying necessary fees for sub division of Survey No.53/6 situated at Mugalivakkam Village and for issuance of a patta in respect of 0.04 cents owned by her in the said survey number and since, she has not been favoured with any response, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.T.Ramachandran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Era Premnath, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the respondents.

4. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the representation, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the representation dated 17.09.2014, submitted by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, after putting on notice the persons concerned and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned.

5. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous petition is closed.
