Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's application dated 10.03.2015 for sub-division and grant of patta in favour of the petitioner.

By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims that she is the owner of the residential plot admeasuring to an extent of 2400 sq.ft., situated in Survey No221/2, Jaladampet Village, Kanchipuram Tambaram Zone by means of a registered sale deed dated 13.08.2008 (Document No.5300/2008 - Sub Registrar Office, Tambaram) and she submitted an application dated 10.03.2015 to the 1st respondent, praying for sub division and separate patta, by paying necessary fees and since, she has not been favoured with any response, came forward to file https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Ms.Maheswari, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Roofus Abraham, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice for the respondents.

4. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the representation, directs the 1st respondent to consider the representation dated 10.03.2015, submitted by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, after putting on notice the persons concerned and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned.

5. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
