O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to give police protection based on his complaint dated 26.11.2017.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner; learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and the learned counsel appearing for the 4th respondent. 3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner herein, a case in crime No.539 of 2017 has been registered against the fourth respondent herein for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b) and 506(ii) of IPC. 4.It is represented that the fourth respondent is none other than brother in-law of the petitioner. In such view of the matter, it is not a fit case, in which police protection can be granted to the petitioner. If there is any threat to the life of the petitioner from the fourth respondent, it is always open to the petitioner to lodge a complaint before the local police station.

With the above observation, this criminal original petition is closed.
