ORDER

The petitioners have filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue patta to them in respect of immovable property situate at Survey No.52/4, Kabilakurichi Village, Paramathivelur, Namakkal District, based on their application dated 28.03.2016, within a time frame.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in spite of the petitioners' application dated 28.03.2016, the respondent has not passed any orders so far.

3. Mr.S.Navaneethan, learned Additional Government Pleader taking notice for the respondent, submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioners' application for issuance of patta and pass orders, in accordance with law.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioners' application dated 28.03.2016 for issuance of patta and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
