By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The case of the petitioner in brief:
The petitioner's wife namely R.D.Senthamizhselvi worked as Assistant Professor in the department of Philosophy Religion & Culture at Poompuhar College and on 23.04.2020, his wife died due to lung cancer. Therefore, he made a representation to the 1st respondent claiming the death benefits to the petitioner being the legal heir of the deceased. But, the same has not been considered till date. 3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the 1st respondent submitted that if any such representation made by the petitioner in a proper format was received by the respondents, the same will be considered on merits and in accordance with law.
4. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the 1st respondent, this Court is inclined to direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.02.2021 and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, more preferably, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner shall make his representation in a proper format, along with this order copy.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
