Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents herein to sanction and pay family pension to the petitioner on account of the demise of her husband Late G.Periannan, retired Head Constable 440, with effect from 14.09.2008, together with interest, within a time frame as deem fit and proper. ORDER

Writ petition has been filed in the nature of a mandamus seeking a direction to the respondents to sanction and pay the family pension to the petitioner consequent to the unfortunate death of her husband - G.Periannan, who retired as Head Constable with No.440 on 14.09.2008.

Learned counsel for the petitioner appeared through video conference and stated that the issue raised has now become infructuous since the petitioner had been receiving the family pension.

In view of that particular fact, no further issues arise for adjudication.

This writ petition stands closed. No costs. The respondents should continue to pay the family pension in respect of the order passed in this writ petition and continue to do so. 18.07.2023 Index:Yes/No ssm 2/4
