..Respondents Prayer : Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of certiorari, calling for the records and quash the order dated 29.08.2016 passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal, Madras Bench in O.A.No. 132 of 2016 and consequently direct the 1st respondent to grant the petitioner financial upgradation under MACP III besides re-fixing his pension accordingly with all attendant benefits including interest on arrears at the rate of 12% per annum till the date of payment.

The prayer sought for in the writ petition is to call for the records and quash the order dated 29.08.2016 passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal, Madras Bench in O.A.No. 132 of 2016 and consequently direct the 1st respondent to grant the petitioner financial upgradation under MACP III besides re-fixing his pension accordingly with all attendant benefits including interest on arrears at the rate of 12% per annum till the date of payment.

2. When the matter was listed on 15.11.2023 there was no appearance on behalf of the petitioner, hence the matter was directed to be listed today under the caption 'For Dismissal'. Today also none appeared on behalf of the petitioner.

3. In view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed for non prosecution. No costs.
