R.Muthukrishnan .. Contemnor/Appellant Petition filed under Section 11 and 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 70/71 to punish the respondent for having committed contempt of Court for disobeying the order dated 18.08.2014 made in O.S.A.No.171 of 2014.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble The Chief Justice) Rent up-to-date has been paid as on today. One cheque is subject to realisation.

2. Insofar as the service tax is concerned, two cheques have been issued, which are post dated.

3. Learned counsel for the Contemnor undertakes that https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ they are good for payment.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the only other issue left is of the penalty and interest which is payable on delay in deposit of service tax, and the petitioner will file the return and specify the amount to respondents as to how much has to be paid, on or before 15th September, 2016, as the cheques are post-dated on 28.08.2016. The respondent contemnor will inturn restitute the amount on or before 30th September, 2016.

5. In view of the aforesaid, the contempt petition and the sub-application are closed.

6. List for compliance on 6th December, 2016. The Contemnor need not be present in court if the full payment has been made, otherwise he shall remain personally present in court on 6th December, 2016.
