O R D E R

This Court by order dated 05.02.2014 in W.P.No.3358 of 2014 directed the respondent to consider the petitioner for promotion to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police by including his name at an appropriate seniority position in the panel of Inspectors fit for promotion to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police for the year 2012-13, in accordance with seniority, if he is otherwise qualified and eligible and not suffered with any major penalty, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of the order. Since the order of this Court has not been complied with, this Contempt Petition is filed. 2.

When the matter is taken up today for consideration, the learned Government Advocate submitted that the representation of the petitioner was rejected on 16.05.2014 by the respondent.

Since the order of this Court has been complied with, nothing survives in this Contempt Petition. Accordingly, the Contempt Petition is closed. However, if https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the petitioner is aggrieved by the said rejection order dated 16.05.2014, he is at liberty to challenge the same, in the manner known to law.
