ORDER

The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to issue patta by considering the petitioners' representation dated 22.09.2022 and 26.12.2022 pending on the file of the respondents herein in accordance with law and on merits.

In respect of the land at S.No.459 to an extent of 65 cents situated at Panruti Kandigai Village, Sriperumpudur, it is a claim of the petitioners that, entire property belongs to the petitioners' father, who sold 55 cents out of 65 cents in the year 1987. Therefore, remaining 10 cents are left and the petitioners' father died, therefore, the petitioners inherited the property. Hence, the petitioners in order to get patta for the remaining 10 cents, for which a declaratory decree and injunction was also obtained by the petitioners against the neighbors, the petitioners had given a representation on 26.12.2022 to the second respondent Tahsildar and in order to consider the said application-cum-representation and to do the needful by issuance of patta, the petitioners have moved the present writ petition.

3. Heard Mr.S.Prabhu, learned counsel appearing for the 2/4

petitioners and Mrs.N.Senthil Selvi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the said application-cum-representation submitted by the petitioners for getting patta would be considered by the second respondent Tahsildar and it would be decided within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. Considering the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the application-cum-representation submitted by the petitioners dated 26.12.2022 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six(6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
