This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the third respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner from the fourth respondent.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents. Perused the materials available on record.

3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petition, the third respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, after issuing notice to the petitioner and the fourth respondent, and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
