Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to take immediate and effective steps, by giving proper police protection to the Petitioner for putting up the northern side of the compound wall facing the road of the temple viz., Arulmigu Sree Varasakthi Vinayagar Thirukoil situated at TN Link Road, Londonpettai, Krishnagiri based on the letters of the petitioner dated 04.06.2024 and 22.07.2024 to the first respondent.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents to take immediate and effective steps, by giving proper police protection to the Petitioner for putting up the northern side of the compound wall facing the road of the temple viz., Arulmigu Sree Varasakthi Vinayagar Thirukoil situated at TN Link Road, Londonpettai, Krishnagiri based on the letters of the petitioner dated 04.06.2024 and 22.07.2024 to the first respondent.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submit that some third parties had demolished the compound wall of the temple in the northern side, hence, the petitioner made a complaint and the same has been registered in Crime No.225 of 2024 for offences under Sections 427 and 506(i) of IPC. While the petitioner had taken steps to put up the compound wall on northern side to protect the temple, the counter parties

created nuisance by preventing the construction. Therefore, the petitioner sent representation to provide adequate police protection for construction of the compound wall.

3. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the representation of the petitioner was referred before the second respondent to initiate proceedings under Section 107 Cr.P.C. The second respondent initiated proceedings for conducting an enquiry after issuance of notice to the counter parties.

4. In view of the above, the second respondent is directed to complete the enquiry after giving an opportunity to the petitioner and the counter parties within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of the order in accordance with law. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
