ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 19.10.2023 wherein the petitioner is seeking for change of name in the TSLR and to restore the plot No.135 in favour of the petitioner. 2.

Heard Mrs.P.Gowri, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, for respondents. 3.

The case of the petitioner is that plot No.135 was alloted in favour of her husband in the year 1981. Thereafter, they were in possession and enjoyment of the property. On 26.05.2011, the petitioner's husband died leaving behind the petitioner, one son and three daughters. After the demise, the petitioner approached the respondents seeking for patta and patta No.577 was

issued through proceedings dated 05.08.2022.

4.

The petitioner found that the TSLR stood in the name of some other person instead of her husband. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation to change the TSLR in the name of the petitioner and to restore the plot No.135 in the relevant records. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 5.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 2 nd respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 19.10.2023 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If there are any rival claimants, notice shall be issued and they shall be heard before the final order is passed.

6.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
