ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction to examine the representation dated 13.11.2024 given by the petitioner, by which he sought disbursement of EPF pension for the period of his service.

2. The petitioner was initially appointed as Office Assistant in the Tamilnadu State Marketing Corporation in the year 1989. Finally he was working as Office Assistant in the office of the District Manager Office, TASMAC, Chennai South District, Ambattur. He met with a road accident on 28.03.2013 and suffered injury, due to which he could not report for duty. He applied for medical leave. He was unable to continue in service and therefore applied for voluntary retirement and gave representation on 05.06.2014. Since no orders were passed, he gave yet another representation on 27.10.2014. He then filed W.P.No.34941/2014 seeking to retire from service voluntarily. A direction was given to the 2/5

petitioner to give a fresh representation. Finally the petitioner was permitted to retire from service by proceedings dated 09.04.2021. However, the petitioner has not been paid EPF pension and therefore, he had given a representation on 13.11.2024. Since no action has been taken by the respondents, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

A direction is issued to the respondents to examine the representation of the petitioner and also his Service Records and determine whether the petitioner is entitled for EPF pension and if the petitioner is entitled, disburse the same within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
