ORDER
Heard the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the petitioner, as well as the respondents.

This writ petition has been filed praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS to direct the first respondent to take appropriate action against the respondents 4 to 6 and for grant of adequate compensation, to the son of the petitioner, by considering the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.03.2014.

It has been stated by the petitioner that his son, V.Sanjaykumar, who was studying in VII Standard in Vellayan Chettiar Higher Secondary School, Thiruvottiyur, had been injured in his eye by his classmate, viz., Vishwa. It has been further stated that no proper treatment had been given to the son of the petitioner, by the school authorities concerned. Further, no action had been taken by the Inspector of Police, H8, Thiruvottiyur Police Station, Chennai, based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, on 25.07.2013. Therefore, the petitioner has preferred the present writ petition, before this Court, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.
4. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents 5 and 6 had stated that the son of the petitioner had been injured, due to minor scuffle between him and another student, viz., Vishwa. Immediately thereafter, the authorities of the respondent-School had taken the injured student to the hospital and proper treatment had been given to him. There was no major damage to the eye of the student, who had been injured. It has been further stated that both the students are continuing to study in the respondent-School, till date.

In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the parties concerned, and on perusal of the records available, this Court, does not find any cause or reason to grant the relief, as prayed for by the petitioner, in the present writ petition. It is noted that the injury caused to the son of the petitioner, viz., Sanjaykumar, was only minor in nature and no serious damage had been caused to his eye, as
alleged by the petitioner herein. There are no documents placed before this Court, to show that the said Sanjaykumar, the son of the petitioner, had suffered any serious damage, so as to direct the first respondent to take action against the respondents 4 to 6 herein and for the grant of monetary compensation for the petitioner.
6. In such a view of the matter, this Court finds no reason to entertain the writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
