PRAYER Writ petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to consider petitioners representation dated 09/01/2025 and to provide the electricity supply connection to all the five portions of the petitioners properties located in door No.56 A, Pushpa Nagar main road, Nungampakkam, chennai -34, with a favourable consideration and pass orders.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the 2 nd respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner wherein the petitioner is seeking for providing electricity supply connection for the property.

Heard Dr.K.Arul, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Karthikeyan, learned Standing counsel for 1 st respondent and Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, learned Standing counsel for 2 nd respondent.

The learned Standing counsel appearing on behalf of the 2 nd

respondent submitted that the application submitted by the petitioner was rejected on 03.03.2025 and the amount deposited was also refunded on the ground that the petitioner did not provide the necessary documents. 4.

In the light of the above development, it is left open to the petitioner to submit a fresh application through on-line along with all the relevant documents to the concerned Assistant Engineer, TANGEDCO. Necessary charges shall also be paid. The Assistant Engineer, TANGEDCO, shall act upon the application and in case of any clarification, shall call the petitioner for enquiry and get the clarification. The decision shall be taken by the Assistant Engineer, TANGEDCO, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the on-line application from the petitioner. 5.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
