This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register the case under Section 306 and 498-A I.P.C instead of 174 Cr.P.C and investigate and enquire the matter on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner dated 22.05.2015 in accordance with law.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the respondent police have registered a case in Crime No.256 of 2015 under Section 174 Cr.P.C and subsequently, it was altered into Section 306 I.P.C.
