ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, appointing the 1st respondent Registrar of Trade Union or his nominee as administrator of the 3rd respondent Trade Union, to conduct the election through secret ballot, to elect the Executive Committee members of the 3rd respondent and till such time, direct the 1st respondent herein to take over the management, control over the 3rd respondent Trade Union, consequently forbear the 2nd respondent herein from interfering the internal affairs of the 3rd respondent in any manner.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

3.On perusal of case records, it is seen that immediately after filing of the present Writ Petition has been listed before this Court on 04.10.2013 and thereafter on 14.11.2017, Writ Petition was admitted. 4.Till date, no steps have been taken to serve notice on the respondents and the main prayer in this Writ Petition is to conduct the election through secret ballot, to elect the Executive Committee members of the 3rd respondent.

5.Since the Writ Petition is of the year 2013 and the prayer sought is to conduct election to elect the Executive Committee members of the 3rd respondent, and also the fact that no steps have been taken to serve notice on the respondents, this Court is of the view that there is no useful purpose in adjudicating the issue. Hence the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 25.04.2023 Jer 3/5
