Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the representation dated 14.01.2025 and consequently reconvey the land situated in survey No.145/7 measuring 0.53 cents and survey No.145/8A measuring 0.50 cents, survey No.145/8B measuring 0.24 cents, together total an extent of 1 acre and 27 cents in Chittamanur village, Maraimalai Nagar, Kancheepuram District Tamil Nadu-603 204. This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 14.01.2025 wherein the petitioner is seeking for reconveying the property in which the petitioner is residing.
2. Heard Mr.Praveennath Selvam, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents.

The petitioner along with others earlier approached this Court and challenged the acquisition proceedings and sought for a further direction to the respondents to de-notify the notification and withdraw the acquisition proceedings. The writ petitioner filed W.P.No.27439 of 2009 in a batch of writ petitions and all these writ petitions were disposed of by an order dated 12.07.2022 and the relevant portion is extracted hereunder:
"7. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request made by the petitioners, this Court permits the petitioners to make a fresh application/petition before the respondents seeking to retain their residential portion of the land and place their willingness to surrender the remaining portion of land to the Government, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt of such application, the respondents 1 and 4 are directed to consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, twelve weeks thereafter."
4. Pursuant to the above order, the petitioner made a representation to re-convey a portion of the land in which the petitioner is in possession and enjoyment. Since the same was not acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 3/5
5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 14.01.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law and take a decision within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
