Respondents Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to conduct departmental enquiry as against the respondents 5 & 6 further directing the respondents 5 & 6 to pay adequate compensation so far as the damages caused to the petitioner.

2. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 21.03.2015 to the 3rd respondent stating among other things that with the connivance of respondents 5 and 6, he was forced to marry one Vimala Mohan and he prayed for appropriate departmental action against respondents 5 and 6 and though, it was acknowledged on 21.03.2015, he has not been favoured with any response, hence, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.R.Ezhilarasan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for respondents 1 to 4.

4. Though the petitioner has sought for a larger relief, in the facts and circumstances of this case, this Court directs the 3rd respondent or any officer not less than the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police/ Assistant Commissioner, to consider the representation dated 21.03.2015, submitted by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, after putting on notice the 5th and 6th respondents and Ms.Vimala Mohan, and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned.
