COMMON ORDER The petitioners have filed the above writ petitions to issue a writs of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider their petitions dated 30.12.2015 to issue patta to them, within a time frame.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that in spite of the petitioner's petitions dated 30.12.2015 for issuance of patta, the respondents have not passed any orders sofar.

3. Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader, taking notice for the respondents submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to consider the petitioners' petitions and pass orders, in accordance with law.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petitions, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners'

petitions dated 30.12.2015 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With this observation, the writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
