O R D E R

In compliance of the order passed by this Court, the District Collector/respondent has called for a report from the revenue officials concerned, based on which, it has been found, that persons, numbering 38, are not eligible to get the benefit of Old Age Pension.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit, that no due and proper inquiry has been conducted; and, since most of the members of Federation are destitute widows, they are entitled to get https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ pension.

3. Per contra, the learned Government Advocate would

submit, that on a thorough and proper inquiry only, the revenue officials have submitted a report, and based on the same, the District Collector, by her proceedings, dated 21.09.2015, rejected the prayer of the petitioner, and, accordingly, she prayed for closure of the contempt proceedings.

4. This Court, vide order, dated 02.07.2015, has directed the respondent herein to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 28.11.2014, within a stipulated time, after giving an opportunity of personal heraing to the authorised representative of the petitioner; and on consideration of the same only, the abovesaid proceedings came to be passed.

5. In the light of the same, this Contempt Petition is closed, granting liberty to the petitioner to work out its remedy, in accordance with law, if it is so advised.
