Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.02.2019 seeking permission for conducting bull taming event in the eve of temple festival to be held at Sree Irupatchiamman Tirukoil situated at Eripudur Village & Post, Anaicut Taluk, Vellore District on 28.02.2019 or any date as fixed by the respondents herein and conduct the same as per traditions and its practice.

Mr.B.Anandan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents 1, 2 & 4. Mr.D.Balasubramanian, learned Government Advocate takes notice for R3. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the first respondent herein to consider his representation dated 19.02.2019, wherein and whereby, he sought permission for conducting bull taming event in the eve of temple festival to be held at Sree Irupatchiamman Tirukoil situated at Eripudur Village & Post, Anaicut Taluk, Vellore District on 28.02.2019.

3. Heard both sides.

4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the said representation has not been considered by the first respondent so far.

5. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the first respondent to consider and decide the same. Considering the fact that the event is going to take place on 28.02.2019, the first respondent shall consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.02.2019 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 27.02.2019. With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
