..Respondents Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of certiorari to call for the records relating to the proceedings of the Managing Director, TAPCO, the second respondent herein, made in Na.Ka.8347/E1/98 dated 07.06.99 confirming his earlier proceedings dated 16.02.1999 made in Na.Ka.8347/E1/98, quash both the proceedings and consequently direct the Secretary to Government, Animal Husbandry Department, Fort St.George, Chennai 9, the first respondent herein or the Managing Director, TAPCO, the second respondent herein to give regular appointment to the petitioner on compassionate grounds, commensurate with his qualification in any suitable post under the control of the respondents 1 and 2 herein.

With a view to afford yet another opportunity to the petitioner, it was ordered to be listed today under the caption 'for dismissal'. Today also, there is no representation for the petitioner. It appears that the petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the matter. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed for non prosecution.
