Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the entire records connected with the impugned order passed by the second respondent vide in Na.Ka.No.5182/2022/A5 dated 08.06.2023 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to give suitable employment to the petitioner on compassionate ground. ORDER

The writ petition has been filed challenging the order of rejection dated 08.06.2023 on the file of the second respondent thereby rejected the request made by the petitioner seeking employment on compassionate ground.

The petitioner's mother while working before the second respondent's office in the post of Cook Assistant, died due to cancer on 10.04.2011 leaving behind the petitioner and her sister and father. However, the first respondent directed to submit application whenever the petitioner attains the age of 18 years. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted application seeking employment on compassionate ground. 3.

Admittedly, the petitioner was minor at the time of demise of her mother. After 12 years from the date of her mother's death, the 2/4

petitioner made application seeking compassionate appointment. Employment on the ground of compassionate cannot be considered after period of twelve years from the date of the death of her mother. As such, the request was rightly rejected by the order impugned in this writ petition. Therefore, this writ petition is devoid of merits and liable to be dismissed.

Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
