ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondents to settle the petitioner's retirement benefits including gratuity, pension and other attendant retirement benefits. 2.

The petitioner was recruited and appointed as Office Assistant on 31.05.1977 in the fourth respondent Municipality. After 27 years of his service, he retired from service on attaining age of superannuation on 31.05.2022 by the proceedings of the fourth respondent dated 31.05.2022. On his retirement, the petitioner submitted 2/5

necessary proposals along with requisite documents to the respondents for grant of pension and other terminal benefits. However, the petitioner has not been disbursed with any retirement benefits. 3.

The learned counsel for the respondents submitted that there was audit objection and it has now been cleared. Further, the proposal sent by the fourth respondent is under consideration for disbursal of terminal benefits of the petitioner. 4.

In view of the above, the respondents are directed to disburse the retirement benefits such as gratuity, pension and other attendant benefits to the petitioner with applicable interest within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.

With the above direction, this writ petition is allowed. There shall be no order as to costs.
