O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this petition seeking to direct the first respondent herein to make entry of consequential change of timings in the petitioner's stage carriage bus permit in respect of vehicle number TN-78/- 7794 permitted to ply on the route "Dharapuram to Oddanchatram" as granted by the second respondent in R.No.A3/36947/03 dated 12.07.2005 forthwith.

2. Since no adverse order is being passed, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is a stage carriage bus operator in Dharapuram, his permit is valid up to 2028 for the route Dharapuram to Oddanchatram. In the year 2005, the second respondent revised the timings of the petitioner's bus at Dharapuram as 4.42 PM due to consequential change of timings. The revision of timings granted to 7 other operators effected from 2005. In order to effect the change in timings in the permit, the petitioner gave number of representation to the RTO Erode and the first respondent but till date the change in timings has not been endorsed Page No.2 of 7

in the petitioner's permit. The petitioner recently on 6.11.2023 and 30.1.2025 gave representation to the first respondent to make endorsement in the permit but till date change of timings not endorsed in the permit by the first respondent. Hence the petitioner has filed this writ petition for appropriate relief.

4. Though very many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if this Court issues direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 06.11.2023 & 30.01.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents has no objection for the said order being passed by this Court.

6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

7. Considering the limited prayer sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the case issues direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 06.11.2023 & 30.01.2025 on merits, in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till the disposal of the aforesaid representations of the petitioner, the respondents are directed to maintain Status Quo.

8. This writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid observation and directions. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
