ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.10.2017 and pass orders thereon. The petitioner is an accused in Cr. No.257 of 2012 for the offences under Section 24(1) (c) and (e) of the Emigration Act, 1983 and Section 420 IPC. Challenging the FIR, the petitioner preferred Crl.O.P. No.25243 of 2012 which has been dismissed by this Court by a detailed order dated 29.06.2016 with a direction to the police to complete the investigation in Cr. No.257 of 2012, expeditiously.

While so, the petitioner has addressed a representation dated 23.10.2017 to the respondents 1 and 2 and has thereafter, preferred the present writ petition seeking the aforestated prayer.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 and 2. It is seen that the FIR in this case has been registered in the year 2012 and now, we are in 2018. Still, the police have not completed the investigation.

Hence, this Court directs the second respondent police to complete the investigation in Cr. No.257 of 2012 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and file either closure report or charge sheet, as the case may be.

With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
