ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(C),4(1-A)(ii) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, in Crime No.320 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 7 Men Club Brandy bottles each containing 180 ml without any valid permission for the purpose of illegally selling the same and also enriching himself. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 7 Men Club Brandy bottles each containing 180 ml without any proper license. He would also submit that there are 31 previous cases, pending against the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently

opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the nature of offence committed by the petitioner, and taking note of the fact that there are 31 previous cases, pending against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
