Heard both.

2. The petitioner filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation dated 04.3.2014.

3. In the said representation, the petitioner sought for grant of exemption from the levy of property tax in respect of the property in question, which, according to the petitioner, is a place of worship.

4. The learned counsel for the respondents, on instructions, submits that the respondent - Corporation will consider the said representation on merits and in accordance with law.

5. In the light of the above, the writ petition stands disposed of by directing the Competent Authority of the respondent - Corporation to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.3.2014 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is well open to the respondent - Corporation to conduct an inspection of the premises in question and after following due process of law, take a decision on the request for exemption from levy of property tax. No costs.
