This Criminal Appeal had been filed to set aside the judgment passed by the learned Sessions Judge, Mahalir Neethi Mandram (Fast 1/4

Track Mahila Court), Tirupur in Spl.S.C.No.42/2016, dated 16.04.2018.

2. When the case came up for hearing on an earlier occasion, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor filed status report through the Investigation Officer in this case. As per the Investigation Officer, the Accused/Appellant in this case is bed-ridden. Subsequently, the case was adjourned to 05.09.2023.

3. On 05.09.2023, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the Accused/Appellant died. Therefore, this Court had adjourned the case and directed the Station House Officer of the Police Station concerned to file a status report or death certificate.

4. Today, 20.09.2023, the Station House Officer of the Police Station concerned/Respondent Police present in Court. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor files death certificate of the Appellant/Accused and the same is recorded.
