PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the entire records leading to the detention of the petitioner's husband namely Annamalai S/o.Raman, aged about 48 years, vide detention order dated 25.01.2025, on the file of the 2nd respondent herein made in the proceedings in D.O.No.C2/03/2025, quash the same and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the body and person of the detenu Annamalai, S/o.Raman, aged about 48 years, before this Court and thereafter set him at liberty from Central Prison, Cuddalore District.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.981, Home, Prohibition and Excise (IX) Department, dated 28.02.2025, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
