ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue patta to him in respect of the property measuring about 2.47 Acres comprised in S.F.No.83/1A, Kunnathur Village, Annur Taluk.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner gave his application dated 28.06.2016 for the issuance of patta, however, the respondent has not issued the same.

3. Mr.R.S.Selvam, learned Government Advocate taking notice for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's application dated 28.06.2016 and pass orders, in accordance with law. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 28.06.2016 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
