O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition is filed, seeking direction upon the respondent/Police to conduct fair investigation in connection with Crime No.388 of 2014.

It is represented by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the petitioner's son met with an accident on 02.11.2014, in respect of which, a case in Crime No.388 of 2014, has been registered by the respondent/Police. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that, the respondent/Police are attempting to close the case on that ground it was hit and run case. The learned counsel submitted that the accident, which occurred on 02.11.2014, has been captured in C.C.TV Camera installed in that area, and it shows the person, who was responsible for the tragical death of the petitioner's son.

3. On the aforesaid submission, heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, representing the respondent-Police.

4. In view of the above facts and circumstances of the case, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, by directing the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent/Police to enquire into the matter on the aforesaid lines and take action in accordance with law, rather than closing the investigation perfunctorily. The investigation that is to be done by the respondent/Police shall be monitored by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Uthukottai Sub Division, Thiruvallur, so that the investigation proceeds the right direction, instilling confidence in the minds of the complainant/petitioner.
