ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file the final report in Crime No.814 of 2011 as expeditiously within the time limit as stipulated by this Hon'ble Court, the petitioner has come up with this petition. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police. 3.It is seen that this case was registered on 12.11.2011, since there was no progress in the investigation, the defacto complainant has filed the present petition.

4.Today Mr.C.Madiazagan, the Inspector of Police, T-14, Mangadu Police Station, Chennai has filed the status report, wherein, in paragraph No.9 it is stated as follows:

Para 9:It is submitted that during the pending investigation, the then Inspector of Police collected 25 misappropriated cheques from the State Bank of India, Pallavaram Branch. Further, on 02.12.2014, the then Inspector of Police sent 25 collected cheques for comparison with the signature of A-1, to Forensic Science Department, Mylapore, Chennai and the report is yet to be received. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.Recording the submission, he is directed to take necessary steps to complete the investigation within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6.With the above direction this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
