By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to be a successful tenderer and was granted licence to cultivate spike grass by using entire 20 acre drainage water farms owned by the Mettur Municipality. The grievance expressed by him is that without any intimation, the second respondent, took over 5 acre of farm lands out of 20 acres for putting up pipe lines for the purpose of drinking water and consequently, he was not able to cultivate the said 5 acres farm land and incurred great loss and claiming compensation, he submitted a representation dated 25.03.2015 to the first respondent and though it was acknowledged on 27.03.2015, he has not been favoured with any response and hence, came forward with this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Though the petitioner prayed for larger relief, this Court, without going into the merits of the representation dated 25.03.2015, directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the representation dated 25.03.2015 in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioner.

5. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
