This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 08.11.2019, wherein, the 2nd respondent has rejected the claim made by the petitioner and has declared the concerned Ward to come under the General Category.

The claim made by the petitioner is that Ward No.156, which fall under the Chennai Corporation, must be reserved for Scheduled Caste community on the ground that there is majority population of the SC community. The claim made by the petitioner is not supported by any data. The 2nd respondent has rejected the claim made by the petitioner on the ground that the reservation in the Wards are based on population Census that was taken after the delimitation in the year 2011. There is absolutely no material to show anything contra to the reasons assigned by the 2nd respondent. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the order passed by the 2nd respondent and accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
