O R D E R

(Order of the Court was delivered by R.Subbiah,J.) This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner, seeking issuance of a Writ, in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to dispose of his Application, dated 08.04.2013, made for issuance of SC/ST Hindu Kurumans Community

Certificate to his sons viz., D.S.Prasanna Kumar and D.S. Bharath Kumar.

The petitioner is working as Chowkidar, in the Office of the Military Engineer Services at Avadi. He submitted an Application to the second respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer (R.D.O.), dated 08.04.2013, seeking issuance of Hindu Kurumans Community Certificate (SC/ST) in favour of his aforesaid two sons, who are studying in Kendriya Vidyalaya School, as the said School insisted upon his sons to produce the Community Certificate.

Mr.N.Rajendran, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the grievance of the petitioner is that, though the said Application was received by the second respondent/R.D.O, the same was also forwarded to the third respondent/Tahsildar, Sholinganalur Taluk, Tambaram, to conduct an enquiry and submit a report, vide communication, dated 22.08.2014, since no orders have been passed on the said Application, he came forward to file this Writ Petition. 4.

Mr.S.N.Parthasarathy, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that, enquiry was completed in regard to the petitioner's Application and decision will be taken within a period of two months.

This Court, taking into consideration, the limited scope of the prayer sought for, by the petitioner, without entering into the merits of the petitioner's Application, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's Application/representation, dated 08.04.2013, in accordance with law, and pass orders on or before 30 April, 2018, and communicate the decision to the petitioner.

The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
