Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarifed Mandamus to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order by the first respondent in Na.Ka.No.24154/2017/C4 dated 02.02.2021 and to quash the same and consequently direct the first respondent to renew the pistol licence as per the application dated 19.12.2017 on the file of the first respondent.

ORDER

The Writ Petition is directed against the order of rejection dated 02.02.2021 passed by the first respondent and also for a consequential direction to renew the pistol licence to the petitioner.

Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

Against the order of rejection, there is an appeal provision before the Government, which has also been set out in the very impugned order itself. Instead of going for an appeal, the petitioner has moved this Court seeking for a Writ of Mandamus. Therefore, the Writ Petition is rejected. It is open to the petitioner to prefer an appeal before the Government. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
