By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner applied for grant of DBBL Gun Licence vide application dated 10.09.2013 and it was rejected on 09.10.2014 by the second respondent and challenging the legality of the same, he filed appeal before the first respondent on 19.11.2014 and since, it has not been disposed of, came forward with this writ petition.
3. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondents.
4. This Court without going into the merits of the appeal petition, directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the appeal memorandum dated 19.11.2014 submitted by the petitioner, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioner.

5. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
