Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of Mandamus forbearing the respondents from terminating the petitioner from the post of Peon / Helper held by her and consequently to direct the respondents to accommodate the petitioner on compassionate ground in any suitable vacancy according to her qualification as done in the case of other similarly placed persons in Chennai Port Trust.

ORDER

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents furnished a copy of the death certificate of the petitioner and as per the said certificate, the petitioner died on 06.05.2022.

2. Since the prayer sought for in the present writ petition is for compassionate appointment, no further adjudication is required and consequently, the writ petition stands closed.
