Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to forbear the respondents 3 and 4 from conducting any elections pertaining to the posts of office bearers at branches districts and State level for the association namely South Indian Senguntha Mahajana Sangam functioning at New No. 58 Old No. 89 Armenian Street Chennai 600001 pending enrolment of the members throughout the State of Tamil Nadu and consequently appoint an administrator for the said Association not below the rank of retired District Judge.

This Writ Petition is heard through Video Conference on account of COVID-19 pandemic situation.

The prayer sought for in the Writ Petition is to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to forbear the respondents 3 and 4 from conducting any elections pertaining to the posts of office bearers at branches, districts and State level for the association, namely, South Indian Senguntha Mahajana Sangam functioning at New No. 58, Old No. 89, Armenian Street, Chennai 600 001 pending enrollment of the members throughout the State of Tamil Nadu and consequently for a direction to appoint an administrator for the said Association not below the rank of retired District Judge.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that pending Writ Petition, the election itself was conducted and the Office bearers have been elected.

4. It is open to the petitioner, if he is so aggrieved, to challenge the election. As it is nothing survives in the present Writ Petition for adjudication, the same is dismissed as infructuous. No costs Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
