Respondents Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to pay Rs.3,12,390/- with the interest @ 12% from the expiry of six months period of the bill date as ordered by this Court in W.P.No.41842/2006 dated 22.12.2006. For Petitioner : No Appearance For Respondents : Mr.S.Rajeswaran Spl.Govt.Pleader

Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader has produced a copy of the letter of the Chief Engineer,Projects, Chennai dated 02.01.2017 stating that the amount of Rs.3,18,890/- is payable to the petitioner towards fee bill amount claimined in O.P.No.677 of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2002 and the petitioner has to pay the excess amount of Rs.83,721/- to the Government. Therefore, the balance amount of Rs.2,35,169/- is payable to the petitioner and they have also made necessary arrangements for payment of amount due to the petitioner.

2. In view of the same, it is suffice to state that the third respondent is directed to take necessary steps pursuant to the letter of the Chief Engineer dated 02.01.2017 for payment of money.
