This writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner for the promotional post of District Sports and Youth Welfare Officer/Manager/Stadium Officer/Manager, Sports Hostel by considering his representation dated 12.11.2017. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2. A perusal of the representation shows that a charge memo dated 4.10.2012 has been issued against the petitioner under Rule 17(b) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline & Appeal) Rules, 1973. Therefore, when admittedly the petitioner is facing charges under Rule 17(b), he is not entitled for the promotion, as per the Rules.
