The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b) & 85 of BNS, in Crime No.12 of 2024, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

The petitioner has filed a petition before this Court under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. in Crl.O.P.No.27702 of 2024, praying for a direction to the learned Sessions Judge, Special Court for Exclusive trial of cases registered under SC/ST (PoA) Act cases, Vellore to consider the petitioner's bail application on the same day in the event of his surrender in Crime No.12 of 2024 and the same was dismissed on 05.11.2024. However, the petitioner has not mentioned about the said order and also about the registration of the offence under SC/ST Act. Further, when the matter was taken up on 07.03.2025, there was no representation for the petitioner and even today, there is no representation for him.

3. Considering the above fact, this Court is of the opinion that the petition seeking anticipatory bail is not maintainable. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
