This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, direct the respondents to settle arrears of family pension of Rs.1,16,960/- to the petitioner for the period from September 2011 to December 2012 along with subsequent increase in Dearness allowance with 6% interest by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 01.08.2017. For Petitioners : M/s.D.Soundar Raj For Respondents : M/s.Rajeni Ramadoss for R2 & R3

The grievances of the writ petitioner is that the pension arrears due to the writ petitioner is yet to be settled. 2.The learned counsel for the writ petitioner states that the writ petitioner joined as a Conductor on 26.01.1968 in the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation Department and retired from service on 31.03.2000.

3. The respondents have to verify the eligibility and the arrears to be paid to the legal heirs, if any and if there is any arrears to be paid in accordance with the rules, then, the respondents shall consider the same by following the procedures. In this regard, the writ petitioner submitted a representation on 22.01.2018.

4.Thus, without going into the merits of the matter, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 22.01.2018 and pass orders on merits in accordance with law within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petitioner is directed to enclose the copy of the writ petitioner and all other relevant documents, if any, along with the order passed in the writ petition.

5. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
