The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking extension of time to comply with the condition imposed in the order dated 13.12.2019 in Crl.M.P.No.27446 of in Crl.A.No.421 of 2019 passed by the Principal District Court, Chennai to deposit 20% of the cheque amount to the credit of C.C.No.6549 of 2017 on the file of the trial Court.

2. This Court by the order dated 27.01.2021 had directed the petitioner to deposit 20% of the compensation amount ordered by the trial Court within a period of two weeks from the date of the order. It is seen that the 20% of the compensation amount is Rs.8,74,680/- but the petitioner had wrongly taken a DD on 15.02.2021 for a sum of Rs.8,75,000/- which was refused by the Court below stating that the amount mentioned in the DD was excess than the order made in Crl.M.P.No.27446 of in Crl.A.No.421 of 2019. Now, the petitioner had taken a DD for a sum of Rs.8,74,680/- dated 03.03.2021. Due to the above reason, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks time to comply with the condition imposed in Crl.M.P.No.27446 of 2019. In view of the above submission, two weeks time is granted to the petitioner to comply with the said order.
