and W.M.P.Nos.11117 & 11122 of 2019 The learned Advocate General appearing on behalf of the respondents in W.P.No.5542 of 2019, filed an additional affidavit, stating that pursuant to the Suo Moto Contempt Proceedings initiated by this Court in Suo Moto Contempt Petition No.613 of 2019, a revised opinion was obtained from I.I.T by sending an official to the Registrar I.I.T, who in turn submitted a report by stating that Question No.145 itself is erroneous and incapable of solving . 2.Pursuant to the report, it is contended that the benefit of award of half mark, in respect of the disputed question, is granted to all the 2388 departmental candidates, who attended the written examination for selection to the post of Inspector General of Police / Member Secretary. Out of 2388 candidates, 9 candidates including the writ petitioner were found to be qualified in the Provisional selection as they secured the required cut off marks of their respective category. The details of the 9 candidates are furnished below:

Consequently, all the above 9 candidates are provisionally selected and appropriate actions will be taken to proceed with the certificate verification and to send them for training as per the procedures contemplated. This Court dismissed the writ petition on 13.03.2019, based on the expert opinion submitted by the learned counsel for the respondent. As the said expert opinion was found to be bogus, Suo Moto Contempt Petition No.613 of 2019 is initiated. Thus, it is necessary to review the order passed by this Court on 13.03.2019 in W.P.No.5542 of 2019.

4. The learned Advocate General Appearing on behalf of the respondent in the writ petition made a submission that the grievances of the writ petitioner has been now redressed. However, the respondent has no objection

in impleading Mr.D.Murthy and Dr.G.Vijayakumar Alias G.V.Kumar as respondents in the writ petition. Accordingly, the impleading petitions filed in W.M.P.No.11117 of 2019 and W.M.P.No.11122 of 2019 stands allowed. In view of the facts and circumstances, the order passed by this Court on 13.03.2019 in W.P.No.5542 of 2019 is recalled.

5.Accordingly, the registry is directed to list the matter on 22.04.2019 for further hearing.

2.Registry is directed to issue order copy on 05.04.2019.

This matter came up for hearing today under the caption 'For Being Mentioned' at the instance of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

In view of the submission made, Paragraph No.2 of the interim order passed in W.P.No.5542 of 2019 dated 05.04.2019, is to be reads as follows: "2.Pursuant to the report, it is contended that the benefit of award of half mark, in respect of the disputed question, is granted to all the 2388 departmental candidates, who attended the written examination for selection to the post of Sub-Inspector of Police(Finger Print). Out of 2388 candidates, 9 candidates including the writ petitioner were found to be qualified in the Provisional selection as they secured the required cut off marks of their respective category.
